The following are some tips that can be implemented by pregnant women to stay fit during pregnancy:

  • Beware if you have a history of miscarriage or diseases that can affect pregnancy such as anemia, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma and others. Tell your doctor to get special treatment.
  • Enough nutrients. If nutrients are not enough, then there will be stunted fetal growth. Be sure to consume whole grains, dairy products, fresh fruit and vegetables, protein-rich foods like fish, chicken, meat, cheese, nuts and eggs.
  • Check your pregnancy more often, once in two weeks at 24 weeks gestation and 1 times a week at 36 weeks gestation.
  • Enough rest. Your body work two times harder,so you will need a break two times more.
  • Exercises. Can be done and useful for your twin pregnancy. Select a low impact, such as swimming, yoga and meditation. Or, consult with your doctor.
  • Follow the preparatory birth class. Ask a special class.
  • Speak up. Reduce your stress by talking and planning for the future with your partner.
