morning sicknessNausea is related with the condition of uncomfortable in the stomach accompanied with the feeling of vomit. It is a symptom of various diseases, but it is not a disease.

Nausea is just about the first signs of pregnancy symptoms. Women who are pregnant get started experiencing nausea between the 4th week and 8th week of pregnancy. The feeling of sickness (nausea) is usually experienced after consumption of coffee or eating something on an empty stomach. Nausea is also referred to as morning sickness. But it is not necessary that these symptoms are only experienced in the morning. Many pregnant women often complain about experiencing feelings of sickness throughout the day.

Nausea during pregnancy is common problem that expectant mothers face. Most pregnant women will experience nausea during the first trimester, but some women have problems with nausea throughout their entire pregnancy.

Most women have to cope with morning sickness for long periods in pregnancy, many of them for six months or more. Natural nausea cures are available than can successfully ease this condition.

Nausea in pregnant women, signs of a healthy baby

Nausea is very disturbing for pregnant women, but researchers at Cornell University in New York, United States, found that in terms of fetal well-being, “suffer” the mother is actually beneficial, because:

  • Nausea was the work of nature in which the mother’s body develop resistance to various types of toxins in the body such as alcohol, nicotine and caffeine, which could potentially injure the fetus.
  • Nausea which causes the mother could not eat meat, eggs, poultry or fish, would protect the fetus from possible exposure to harmful bacteria in food, which can not be resisted endurance expectant mothers.
  • Nausea in pregnancy increases the chance of having a healthy baby. Several studies and other research confirms that expectant mothers who experienced nausea will have a low risk of miscarriage.

Is it true that morning sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy?

Many research has observed fewer miscarriages among women who have nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. One study showed that vomiting (but not nausea alone) is associated with a lower risk of miscarriage. Some researchers have also found a reduced risk of preterm birth and low birth weight among women who suffer nausea and vomiting.

What studies haven’t shown conclusively is why. Researchers aren’t even sure why some women feel nauseated during pregnancy while others don’t. It’s possible that rapidly rising levels of hormones like human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and estrogen play a role.
